Acep Abidin hit a great ball. Ulrich Stein hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Joãozinho Pernambucano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palmares Futebol Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Joãozinho Pernambucano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Dorian Nogueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Dorian Nogueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jürgen Klinsmann put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. In the 43rd minute, Joãozinho Pernambucano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Cafu Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 47 minutes, Albin Holweck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Palmares Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Sachs was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Jürgen Klinsmann sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. 55 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Jürgen Klinsmann came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jürgen Klinsmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Palmares Futebol Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Leonardo Pernambucano in the 74th minute. The supporters of Germany booed when Palmares Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cafu Donato didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Paz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albin Holweck went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jürgen Klinsmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Cafu Donato came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Luiz Eduardo Donatello in the 93rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Linus Schwerner. There was no doubt that Palmares Futebol Clube were the better team. Palmares Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
