Kostas Kelaidonis scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wilson Amorim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Hakan Işık had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hakan Işık was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Barreto in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yavuz Bülent Akbatu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 21st minute of play. When Portugal's Viriato Moura in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Navigators's goalie prevented a goal. The Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Portugal's Viriato Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 26th minute of play. İlker Uğurhan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Navigators's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but Yavuz Bülent Akbatu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Graciano Coutinho in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute Wit Lampa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Navigators's Yavuz Bülent Akbatu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 39th minute of play. Wilson Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Güralp Okanay showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 41 minute of play. Felipe Barreto took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yavuz Bülent Akbatu. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. When Portugal's Viriato Moura, in the 48th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 3-3 after a close first half.

Yavuz Bülent Akbatu made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Yavuz Bülent Akbatu in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yavuz Bülent Akbatu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Caetano Moreira hit a great ball. 75 minutes into the match, Navigators's goalkeeper Yavuz Bülent Akbatu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. In the 78th minute, Caetano Moreira made a precise shot to the right of Yavuz Bülent Akbatu. Navigators's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4. Daniel Pimentel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yavuz Bülent Akbatu having to make a save. After 90 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Moreira. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hakan Işık in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yavuz Bülent Akbatu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Graciano Coutinho came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Graciano Coutinho couldn't finish the play. After 96 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Moreira. Yu Ke Hui struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Navigators.
