Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexandros Peropoulos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Alexandros Peropoulos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chris Mergenthaler during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
