Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Germany's Frank Sachs started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Albin Holweck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renan Britto's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Renan Britto helped the player get up and apologised. Germany made a substitution. Rolf Rothberg replaced Frank Sachs. In the 17th match minute, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Rolf Rothberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Germany fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 20 played minutes AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Aníbal das Neves. Rolf Rothberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Maranhense having to interfere. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaltino Maraschin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Agostinho Maraschin hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Rolf Rothberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amadeu Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolf Rothberg in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Isaltino Maraschin was the one to do the kick off. Albin Holweck charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albin Holweck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Rolf Rothberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serginho Barbosa took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 75th minute, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's Renan Britto seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Renan Britto the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Renan Britto had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 76th match minute, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Britto to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrich Stein came free, but Amadeu Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeu Maranhense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolf Rothberg in the 89th minute. After 92 minutes, Agostinho Maraschin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. The AS Maraschin Calcio CIMZ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Germany were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
