Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer to fire away a dangerous shot which Diogo de Souza despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Diogo de Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 21st minute of the match. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by The Glorious FC's Fang Hao Jing. But to his dismay, Fang Hao Jing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gijsbert ter Kruimer to strike the kick off in the second half. The The Glorious FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
