The supporters of Hungary booed when A.S.Saint Ethiene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hegedus Henrik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Zé Pedro Penha sent off a good shot on target. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ali Jegham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Ricardo Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Vörös Henrik the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Hungary protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Vörös Henrik had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Hungary! Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Molin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ali Jegham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, A.S.Saint Ethiene's goal looked a bit too open when Takacs Tibor came free, but Ali Jegham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Major Barna stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Major Barna got free with Ali Jegham in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Håkan Molin, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. When Hungary's Major Barna in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Utoh Bachdim in the 81st minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Takacs Tibor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ali Jegham. A.S.Saint Ethiene's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Takacs Tibor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Balazs Lajos came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ali Jegham could save by the left post. When the final whistle sounded Hungary left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than A.S.Saint Ethiene.
