The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnout Reekers firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Myles Khayeshe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Ogot saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gustaaf Groeneveldt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Ogot was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Tatooine Local Club's Paul Ogot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tatooine Local Club's Paul Ogot. Paul Ogot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paul Ogot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 18th minute of play. Fazul Mwaura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Fazul Mwaura tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fazul Mwaura in the 25th minute. Paul Ogot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Charles Wambui. After 31 minutes Tatooine Local Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 33rd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Tatooine Local Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paul Ogot quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Charles Wambui in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. Netherlands's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fredrick Ntalami 46 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 52nd match minute, Tatooine Local Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Kimutai to maneuver through the defense. Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Paul Ogot when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 60th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Paul Ogot was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrick Ntalami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 64th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredrick Ntalami in the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Tatooine Local Club's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Paul Ogot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute, Lars Meesters got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charles Wambui, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 91st minute, Wim Wilmes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paul Ogot. The goal made the score 2-3. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Netherlands played a much better game than Tatooine Local Club and deserved their victory. The Tatooine Local Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
