Francisco Infante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 8th minute of the match. Bas Tuitert kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberto Caiado in the 16th minute of play. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Herberto Caiado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Aragão in the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francisco Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 24th minute of play. Francisco Infante came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Wim Wilmes. But to his dismay, Wim Wilmes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Herberto Caiado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 29 minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Herberto Caiado came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacob Barroso in the 37th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Manfred Schonath sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Francisco Infante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Netherlands's Wim Wilmes in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 50 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by José Cunha. Francisco Infante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56thth minute of the game Herberto Caiado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Lima Team getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nuno Aragão hit a great ball. Francisco Infante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Francisco Infante successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Francisco Infante made a huge save. When Netherlands's Lars Meesters in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lima Team's goalie prevented a goal. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lima Team's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Infante came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 92 played minutes Lima Team got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Leiria. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
