An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 11th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Eugeniusz Kolbert tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 14thth minute of the game Eugeniusz Kolbert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 19 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eugeniusz Kolbert. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 25th minute. Folke Samuelsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Kahn. Germany's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Chris Mergenthaler charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Mergenthaler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emil Cvitanović having to interfere. Eugeniusz Kolbert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Sachs made a kick off. Germany's Albin Holweck quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cristi Gârbovan, made in the 52nd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Eugeniusz Kolbert kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 59th minute of play. When MKS Maczka's Eugeniusz Kolbert in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Frank Sachs's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 67thth minute, Emil Cvitanović skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Eugeniusz Kolbert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Eugeniusz Kolbert came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the MKS Maczka fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eugeniusz Kolbert couldn't finish the play. MKS Maczka made a substitution. Zula Drozdowski replaced Wincenty Sakowicz. In the 80th minute, Eugeniusz Kolbert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th match minute, MKS Maczka was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Kolbert to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emil Cvitanović breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. MKS Maczka's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
