The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Urbano Quentin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th match minute, San Martin de Tucumán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elvio Ramond to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, San Martin de Tucumán's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Urtungo came free, but Henry Carrasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Carrasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Urtungo in the 18th minute of play. In the 25th minute Eloy Leguizamón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Carrasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henry Carrasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Urtungo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 29 minutes into the match, Saverio Lia dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Betão Prestes, 1-0. In the 33rd minute, Elvio Ramond ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão Prestes was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cable a Tierra fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! After a defensive mix-up in Cable a Tierra's zone, Saverio Lia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Betão Prestes came out of the goal and Saverio Lia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maximo Gorri hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Urtungo in the 45th minute of play forced San Martin de Tucumán's goalkeeper Henry Carrasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
51 minutes into the match, Koroğlu Äbdilov notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Cable a Tierra's Betão Prestes. Betão Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Betão Prestes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Koroğlu Äbdilov went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Cable a Tierra's Betão Prestes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Ubelteso in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Pawel Sakowicz notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Cable a Tierra's Betão Prestes. Betão Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Saverio Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Cable a Tierra's Leonides Telesforo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Henry Carrasco. Henry Carrasco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 7-1. After a rather tough play, San Martin de Tucumán's Julian Celino got a free kick in the 81st minute. After 82 played minutes San Martin de Tucumán got a freekick which was hit by Julian Celino. Betão Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Lia, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonides Telesforo got free with Henry Carrasco in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 88th minute Julian Celino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Betão Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The San Martin de Tucumán fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when San Martin de Tucumán's Jonas Gorri looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saverio Lia took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Betão Prestes. Betão Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 9-1.
The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. San Martin de Tucumán had won after a very even match.
