Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gugu de Mendonça took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Rogelio Abeita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. David Schembri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Abeita in the 5th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the match, Northern California's goal looked a bit too open when Rogelio Abeita came free, but David Schembri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Northern California's Leandro Chorche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ariel Venerando made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Ariel Venerando made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Leandro Chorche sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd match minute, Northern California was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otto Kotto to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Venerando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Guillelme in the 27th minute of play. Fabio Monte who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Ariel Venerando when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The Northern California fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Northern California's Fabio Monte looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ariel Venerando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serafin Ilazki in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Road To Glory's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Ilazki came free, but Ariel Venerando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Northern California's Otto Kotto got a free kick in the 41st minute. David Schembri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gugu de Mendonça in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabio Monte made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gugu de Mendonça got free with David Schembri in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Road To Glory getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Egon Markusson hit a great ball. In the 56th minute, Serafin Ilazki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gugu de Mendonça in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck David Schembri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 64 minutes into the game, Gugu de Mendonça cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. David Schembri was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça got a free kick in the 70th minute. Ariel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Monte, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Gugu de Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Road To Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gugu de Mendonça couldn't finish the play. After 76 minutes of play, Northern California's Antonio Guillelme made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ariel Venerando was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gugu de Mendonças short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got David Schembri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Road To Glory's Gugu de Mendonça was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 81st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After having played for 83 minutes, Rogelio Abeita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Road To Glory's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogelio Abeita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ariel Venerando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leandro Chorche, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Ariel Venerando came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Northern California's Antonio Guillelme. But to his dismay, Antonio Guillelme quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3.
The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Northern California fans cheered their team off the field, for while Road To Glory had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
