The goalkeeper, Casper Claes, was totally fooled by Lunatics of Arianrhod's Joel Hibai, who 11 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 16 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro. Lunatics of Arianrhod's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Edward Vanderstraeten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 24th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Ström in the 25th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Tammaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristoforo Tammaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 35th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes Lunatics of Arianrhod's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Edward Vanderstraeten who took care of the corner kick. Edward Vanderstraeten made a great header on Belgium's corner, it was just that Lunatics of Arianrhod's Cristoforo Tammaro managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristoforo Tammaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 38th minute of play. Lenny Clocheret hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Martini in the 44th minute of play. After the first half Belgium were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Belgium's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 53rd minute. A very nice done corner allowed Yves Dervaux to score against Cristoforo Tammaro in Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal. 1-3 after 53 minutes. The crowd rose to their feet as Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristoforo Tammaro. That made the score 1-4 after 56 minutes of play. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Panza in the 63rd minute of play. When Lunatics of Arianrhod's Fedele Panza in 65 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Casper Claes guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. When Lunatics of Arianrhod's Fedele Panza in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Lunatics of Arianrhod made a substitution. Chu Xiang Chang replaced Enzo Di Placido. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lunatics of Arianrhod's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Belgium's Simon Sabbe getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Cristoforo Tammaro made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Cristoforo Tammaro made a huge save. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lunatics of Arianrhod's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten was slow to take the kick. During this time Belgium's players had a chance to rest. Cristoforo Tammaro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 85th minute. After a rather tough play, Lunatics of Arianrhod's Felice Cirigliano got a free kick in the 86th minute. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Cristoforo Tammaro made a huge save. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. A collision led to Belgium getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Nigel Devos hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Joel Hibai in the 96th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Casper Claes's left hand side. When the match was over Belgium could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Lunatics of Arianrhod throughout the match.
