Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Csaba Fülöp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antal Dobi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Dobi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Takacs Tibor in the 15th minute of the match. Hungary's Balazs Lajos got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sopronkövesd's Antal Dobi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 20th minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mehis Kapstas, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 21 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Mehis Kapstas came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antal Dobi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 26th minute of play. Csaba Fülöp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sopronkövesd's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antal Dobi came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 47 played minutes Sopronkövesd got a freekick which was hit by Árpád Zádori. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Csaba Fülöp, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. 81 minutes into the match, Csaba Fülöp had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Csaba Fülöp was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Sopronkövesd made a substitution.
