The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dalimil Charvat during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dalimil Charvat hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Lech Puszynski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Majachun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lech Puszynski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Czech Republic from getting a goal against them. Przemyslaw Galagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Rezek in the 18th minute of play forced Majachun's goalkeeper Cyryl Zbydniewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leszek Cetnar hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Denis Dostal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cyryl Zbydniewski having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute of the match Majachun got a corner. Czech Republic's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ignacy Poreda ran over to the corner to take the kick. Cyryl Zbydniewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Jilek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Przemyslaw Galagan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Rusil struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Cyryl Zbydniewski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Czech Republic. Vavrinec Holub made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Lech Puszynski sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Jilek to make the kick off. Lech Puszynski charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lech Puszynski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erik Jilek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Cyryl Zbydniewski made a huge save. In the 69th minute, Lech Puszynski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Przemyslaw Galagan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute of the match Majachun got a corner. Ignacy Poreda made a great header on Majachun's corner, it was just that Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub managed to reach the ball for a save.
