When Jerry Kullgren was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 29 minutes had been played. In the 30th minute, Jerry Kullgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Yan Zhi Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Tupper in the 33rd minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Jarl Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jim Frykberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarl Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Zhi Chuan in the 40th minute of the match. Raimundo Tupper might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jarl Andreasson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Tupper ran back to his position shaking his head. Jarl Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 46th minute of play. Jarl Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Marcus Edström was substituted for Raimundo Tupper. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcus Edström made a kick off. AIF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Marcus Edström scored to the left of an out of position Jarl Andreasson, making the score, 0-3. AIF's Jarl Andreasson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save AIF from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, AIF's Jarl Andreasson got control of the ball when Marcus Edström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Trayko Gradinarski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Jarl Andreasson made a huge save. After 62 minutes of play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Marcus Edström made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jarl Andreasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 65th minute Yan Zhi Chuan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jarl Andreasson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Frisk. In the 70thth minute of the game Marcus Edström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AIF's Jarl Andreasson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jarl Andreasson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Zhi Chuan in the 71st minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Zhi Chuan came free, but Jarl Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th match minute, AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esbjörn Valrot to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Jarl Andreasson managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Marcus Edström fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. AIF's Jarl Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yan Zhi Chuan in the 80th minute of play. Jarl Andreasson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yan Zhi Chuan's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 85th play minute Marcus Edström came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Jarl Andreasson. 0-6. After 88 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Juan Estevan Hamdorf. 90 minutes into the match, Yan Zhi Chuan notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of AIF's Jarl Andreasson. Jarl Andreasson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AIF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Hüseyin Rahmi Toper scored to the left of an out of position Jarl Andreasson, making the score, 0-8. Club Deportes Santa Cruz played a much better game than AIF and deserved their victory. The AIF players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
