The corner led Hungary's Major Barna to fire away a dangerous shot which Maximino Acevedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Maximino Acevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Takacs Tibor's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arturo Bondi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. Fazendinha's Luiz Guilherme Melo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 91 minutes into the game, Arturo Bondi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fazendinha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hungary the free kick. 94 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Melo came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fazendinha succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
