Marcus Ekrot was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Marcus Ekrot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Lars Meesters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Ekrot was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Marcus Ekrot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute, Hugo Eden ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Marcus Ekrot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 34th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 minutes Vykans Vikingar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Indalecio in the 46th minute of play. After having played for 47 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jose Indalecio was the one to do the kick off. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 50th minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. In the 52nd minute, Alessandro Micucci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emmanuel Dennis in the 55th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Eikelkamp to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcus Ekrot. That made the score 2-4 after 62 minutes of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Micucci in the 65th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 66th minute of play forced Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute Emmanuel Dennis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Marcus Ekrot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vykans Vikingar's Börje Stål was substituted for Emmanuel Dennis. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Mutumba went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-4 was the resulting score. After 78 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Marcus Ekrot, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Börje Stål, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Börje Stål in the 82nd minute of play. Vykans Vikingar's Marcus Ekrot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Indalecio in the 86th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Marcus Ekrot in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 93rd minute Genaro Remicio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. When Vykans Vikingar's Jose Indalecio in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal.
