The tension between the Netherlands and the Rayo Bengala players grew even worse after the yellow card. Rayo Bengala made a substitution. Çağan Ros replaced Bernard Rienda. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bas Tuitert hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julen Castellano in the 16th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tormaigh Cassin in the 17th minute of play. Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 20th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute. Policarpio Lama could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers had great luck who in the 26thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tormaigh Cassin from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 29th minute of the match. The throw-in from Julen Castellano in the 32nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Netherlands's David Eikelkamp. Gijsbert ter Kruimer might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Artur Boruc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 37th match minute, Rayo Bengala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ekaitz Cabrera to maneuver through the defense. Artur Boruc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 39th minute of the match. In the 40th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tormaigh Cassin made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Wim Wilmes notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc. Artur Boruc was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 55th minute, Sergio Eli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Policarpio Lama in the 66th minute of play. Artur Boruc made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julen Castellano in the 69th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Netherlands defense, Tormaigh Cassin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arnout Reekers. The Netherlands fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arnout Reekers should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Rayo Bengala's Artur Boruc got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Rayo Bengala's goalkeeper Artur Boruc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Rayo Bengala's Macabeo Sampil was substituted for Tormaigh Cassin. In the 84th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Rayo Bengala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt to fire away a dangerous shot which Artur Boruc despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 85th minute, Policarpio Lama left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rayo Bengala fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Rayo Bengala's Teofilo Marquez was substituted for Ekaitz Cabrera. The audience was convinced that Macabeo Sampil's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Rayo Bengala's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Boruc came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rayo Bengala.
