After a rather tough play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's Paulo Ferreira got a free kick in the 23rd minute. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-0 when José Bomba sped through Denmark's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Keld Paulsen. With a little luck, Denmark's Keld Paulsen got control of the ball when José Bomba tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mathias Ludvigsen hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match Igor Tudor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Keld Paulsen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. José Bomba could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. In the 47th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kenn Skou to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell José Bomba to make the kick off. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Bomba in the 52nd minute of play. Denmark's Lars Steen managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Denis Osokin in the 55 minute of the game. José Bomba might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Keld Paulsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Bomba ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, José Bomba stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and José Bomba tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rd minute, José Bomba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If José Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. José Bomba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Keld Paulsen having to make a save. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Bomba, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when José Bomba came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, José Bomba notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Denmark's Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 80 minutes of play, F.C. Paços de Ferreira's José Bomba made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute José Bomba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Bomba in the 94th minute of the match. F.C. Paços de Ferreira's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
