After 13 minutes of play, Hungary's Major Barna made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aureliusz Podolski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Aureliusz Podolski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 17th minute of the match. In the 20th minute, ternana calcio fc's Amerigo Pugliese ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 22nd minute of play forced ternana calcio fc's goalkeeper Aureliusz Podolski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Major Barna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aureliusz Podolski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. 28 minutes into the match, ternana calcio fc's goal looked a bit too open when Balazs Lajos came free, but Aureliusz Podolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aureliusz Podolski. Aureliusz Podolski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amerigo Pugliese was the one to do the kick off.
