After some careless play in the Kingpins defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christer Fernström. The Kingpins fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Fernström should have stopped the shot. When Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Christer Fernström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yves Dervaux, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 44th minute of play forced Kingpins's goalkeeper Christer Fernström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bo Kruuse in the 47th minute of the match. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belgium's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Ogazón was slow to take the kick. During this time Kingpins's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Kingpins's Emanuel Ogazón to fire away a dangerous shot which Casper Claes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Bo Kruuse made the kick off in the second half. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Christer Fernström made a huge save. In the 58th minute Rickard Lundgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bo Kruuse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Bo Kruuse had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bo Kruuse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Lenny Clocheret got a free kick in the 64th minute. Kingpins made a substitution. Roger Västerstrand replaced Ger Berdennikov. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Kingpins's Rickard Lundgren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Casper Claes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. A sloppy throw-in by Stiff Rambo in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Belgium's Nigel Devos. 97 minutes into the game, Bo Kruuse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-5. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
