The tension between the Alvinegro de Tupã and the Germany players grew even worse after the yellow card. A sloppy throw-in by Dinei Moraes in the 7th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. Albin Holweck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Karl Martin Bell Burnell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Kahn had in the 11thth minute some difficulties stopping Åke Hellström's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball The supporters of Alvinegro de Tupã booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albin Holweck didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Xu Yang Jian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xu Yang Jian in the 28th minute of the match. Dinei Moraes got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Konrad Ekström. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eduard Iacobescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Albin Holweck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Martin Bell Burnell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Germany's Ulrich Stein got a free kick in the 44th minute. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Xu Yang Jian took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Tommy Kahn to make any attempt to save it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frank Sachs to make the kick off. Karl Martin Bell Burnell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 57th minute of play. Eduard Iacobescu scored 3-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 65th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Alvinegro de Tupã's Xu Yang Jian. But to his dismay, Xu Yang Jian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 69thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alvinegro de Tupã's Karl Martin Bell Burnell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Iacobescu came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Frank Sachs hit a great ball. Alvinegro de Tupã's Xu Yang Jian got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alvinegro de Tupã's Karl Martin Bell Burnell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 83rd minute of play. Karl Martin Bell Burnell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 90 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. 93 minutes into the match, Alvinegro de Tupã's Xu Yang Jian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 95th minute of play forced Alvinegro de Tupã's goalkeeper Karl Martin Bell Burnell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Alvinegro de Tupã fans cheered their team off the field, for while Germany had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
