The audience thought a goal was coming when Quinton Isern got free with Fodor Daniel in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Guadalupe in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Mauricio Guadalupe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mauricio Guadalupe in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. After some careless play in the Deportivo Peñarol FIFV defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Petru Nisporeanu. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Petru Nisporeanu should have stopped the shot. In the 20th match minute, Deportivo Peñarol FIFV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Liu Yan Yan to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Antal Valentin made a precise shot to the right of Petru Nisporeanu. Deportivo Peñarol FIFV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauricio Guadalupe in the 24th minute. Petru Nisporeanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balazs Lajos in the 30th minute of play. Örjan Forssell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Fodor Daniel made a huge save. After 34 minutes of play, Hungary's Hegedus Henrik made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Petru Nisporeanu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Szekeres Tamas. In the 40th minute Mauricio Guadalupe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Petru Nisporeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Petru Nisporeanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mauricio Guadalupe to strike the kick off in the second half. Quinton Isern fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Örjan Forssell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Deportivo Peñarol FIFV getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Örjan Forssell hit a great ball. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Guadalupe in the 77th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Major Barna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Petru Nisporeanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match Liu Yan Yan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fodor Daniel skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petru Nisporeanu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hungary played a much better game than Deportivo Peñarol FIFV and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Peñarol FIFV players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
