Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Gustav Ahlrot sent off a good shot on target. Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 8th minute of play. When Djurgården IF's Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a rather tough play, Djurgården IF's Alexander Nilsson got a free kick in the 27th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Alexander Nilsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Alexander Nilsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Du Chong Le having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 39th minute of play forced Djurgården IF's goalkeeper Du Chong Le to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Djurgården IF's Alexander Nilsson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fodor Daniel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hegedus Henrik in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustav Ahlrot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gustav Ahlrot's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fodor Daniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustav Ahlrot, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Sven-Edvin Lindkvist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fodor Daniel having to make a save. 59 minutes into the match, Djurgården IF's Sven-Edvin Lindkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Major Barna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Du Chong Le took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 67th minute of play. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Lindkvist in the 69th minute of play. Balazs Lajos hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Djurgården IF's Du Chong Le played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Takacs Tibor in the 77th minute of play. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Van Houdtvinck during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Djurgården IF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
