Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. FC Outsiders's Pankracy Klimkiewicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 31st minute of play. Franco Varglien kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. Ronaldinho Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Netherlands's Arnout Reekers got control of the ball when Krisztián Kondor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ronaldinho Paulista did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Arnout Reekers 46 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ronaldinho Paulista made a kick off. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. After 59 minutes FC Outsiders's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 61st minute Ronaldinho Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 64 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho Paulista, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Pankracy Klimkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Outsiders booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pál Bíró received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
