Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Czech Republic's Erik Jilek started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub got control of the ball when Flavio Larpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 12th minute Erik Jilek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ysidro Mallen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de la Plata's zone, Denis Dostal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ysidro Mallen came out of the goal and Denis Dostal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Denis Dostal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rusil in the 22nd minute of play forced Estudiantes de la Plata's goalkeeper Ysidro Mallen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Gilabert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Vavrinec Holub made a huge save. The supporters of Estudiantes de la Plata booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Rezek didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Estudiantes de la Plata's Vavrinec Holub threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 34 minutes into the match, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vavrinec Holub, 2-0. In the 38th minute, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 41 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Denis Dostal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After 51 minutes of play Czech Republic's Alan Rezek was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Estudiantes de la Plata booed when Czech Republic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alan Rezek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Dostal kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Ysidro Mallen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Jilek, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. If Flavio Larpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Estudiantes de la Plata's Ysidro Mallen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Jilek in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Estudiantes de la Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Oxel to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Czech Republic's zone, Flavio Larpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vavrinec Holub came out of the goal and Flavio Larpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ysidro Mallen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Jilek in the 73rd minute. After 75 played minutes Estudiantes de la Plata got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Cerilo. With a little luck, Estudiantes de la Plata's Ysidro Mallen got control of the ball when Erik Jilek tried to sneak it across the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Rodrigo-Sebastian Palacio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Vavrinec Holub was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
