Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Frank Sachs started the match with the kick off. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jonathan Onyii came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Annscroft fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Onyii couldn't finish the play. After 10 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. 11 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fred Kariuki. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. In the 21st minute Jonathan Onyii shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, John Mwangi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Annscroft fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Annscroft's Fred Kariuki looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Fred Kariuki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. In the 41st match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Matthew Korir's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Korir helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Annscroft's Matthew Korir got a free kick in the 43rd minute. The audience was convinced that Fred Kariuki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 48th minute of the game.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fred Kariuki was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. John Mwangi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Onyii in the 62nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Annscroft's Matthew Korir got his second yellow card of the match in the 72nd minute. The referee ordered Matthew Korir off the ground. In the 73rd match minute, Annscroft was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Korir to maneuver through the defense. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fred Rutto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Mwangi got a throw-in 81 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fred Rutto. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Abdallah Ali Maina in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdallah Ali Maina having to interfere. Annscroft's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
