In the 39th minute of the match, Sem De Kelper got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodor Daniel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 42nd minute, Sem De Kelper got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lionel Van Den Broek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 45th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lionel Van Den Broek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sem De Kelper in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Major Barna kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Marcus Eijkens hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. With a little luck, De Keikoppers's Lionel Van Den Broek got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 72 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Major Barna. In the 76th minute of the match De Keikoppers got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rolf Huveneers ran over to the corner to take the kick. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolf Huveneers, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lionel Van Den Broek was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Antal Valentin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 82 minute of play. In the 85th minute, Takacs Tibor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, Rolf Huveneers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rolf Huveneers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. De Keikoppers succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Hungary had controlled the match.
