Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elpidio Francis kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Miguel Prosperi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Roland Kolacki got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Portugal booed when ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elpidio Francis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Amorim was a little too slow when Elpidio Francis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 2-0. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Benicio Seguinus, made in the 23rd minute of the game. Viriato Moura's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Branislav Velchevski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Miguel Prosperi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 37th minute of play forced ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's goalkeeper Branislav Velchevski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elpidio Francis struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA. In the 40th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viriato Moura to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Francis in the 58th minute of play. Elpidio Francis hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Branislav Velchevski made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. 63 minutes into the match, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Elpidio Francis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Prosperi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Felipe Barreto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Branislav Velchevski, 2-1. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Arnaldo Gabon was substituted for Miguel Prosperi. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. With a little luck, ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Branislav Velchevski got control of the ball when Caetano Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Branislav Velchevski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 84th minute of the match. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Felipinho Amorim scored to the left of an out of position Branislav Velchevski, making the score, 2-2. Elpidio Francis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elpidio Francis in the 94th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Portugal players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
