After a defensive mix-up in Los Podridos ll's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Omar Falleto came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulgencio Bilintx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 11th minute, Ladislao Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Omar Falleto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Omar Falleto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Juan Carlos Messi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Omar Falleto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Omar Falleto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Ladislao Tristan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ulises Costa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulises Costa got free with Arnout Reekers in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 28 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Omar Falleto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 33rd minute of play forced Los Podridos ll's goalkeeper Omar Falleto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Falleto having to interfere. Omar Falleto came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulises Costa to make the kick off. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Costa in the 53rd minute of the match. David Eikelkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Omar Falleto made a huge save. Omar Falleto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 56th minute. David Eikelkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Carlos Messi in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes, Los Podridos ll's Hugo Iratze shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Podridos ll reached it. In the 61st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Omar Falleto. Omar Falleto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 68 minutes into the match, Juan Carlos Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Juan Carlos Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. With his leg Omar Falleto managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Omar Falleto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 82nd minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Costa in the 84th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Los Podridos ll's goalkeeper Omar Falleto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Podridos ll's goalkeeper Omar Falleto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 93 played minutes Los Podridos ll got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Liher. Los Podridos ll made a substitution. Benedicto Sancho replaced Juan Carlos Messi. After 95 played minutes Los Podridos ll got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Liher. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
