Nofre Amorebieta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Balazs Lajos in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nofre Amorebieta saved UE Cornella from getting behind. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Pablo Vegetti tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nofre Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 25 minutes into the game, Hungary's Major Barna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nofre Amorebieta made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Nofre Amorebieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 32nd minute of play. Fodor Daniel stood somewhat misplaced when George Echavarri came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 34 minute. In the 40th minute, Major Barna made a precise shot to the right of Nofre Amorebieta. UE Cornella's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The supporters of Hungary booed when UE Cornella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geronimo Jofre didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Hungary were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Antal Valentin was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to UE Cornella getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Justo Viator hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Takacs Tibor got a free kick in the 83rd minute.
