Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinito Rubio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 11th minute of play forced SuliMelilla's goalkeeper Sabino Peña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 minutes, Willy Stieler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the SuliMelilla players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th minute, Willy Stieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Quinito Rubio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willy Stieler to maneuver through the defense. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Quinito Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Quinito Rubio made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nazario Dagora charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nazario Dagora the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nazario Dagora sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Germany's Janik Vogt got a free kick in the 68th minute. Quinito Rubio didn't quite understand what happened when in the 70 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Pancho Barrios hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 79 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Quinito Rubio came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of SuliMelilla booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Malte Schiele didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Quinito Rubio came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the SuliMelilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quinito Rubio couldn't finish the play. Malte Schiele hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
