The audience thought a goal was coming when Asdrubal Prieto got free with Tommy Kahn in the 2nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 7 minutes, Adán Treviño managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético de Sagunto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adán Treviño was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xaime Diez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xaime Diez in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loren Prats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Asdrubal Prieto went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Sagunto's Marc Cucurull got a free kick in the 21st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asdrubal Prieto in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Germany's Tommy Kahn proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Germany from getting a goal against them. In the 30th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Atlético de Sagunto's Asdrubal Prieto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tommy Kahn. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. In the 34th minute, Xaime Diez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tommy Kahn was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 40 minutes into the match, Adán Treviño had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adán Treviño was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 43 played minutes Atlético de Sagunto got a freekick which was hit by Marc Cucurull. After 48 minutes of play, Atlético de Sagunto's Xaime Diez made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there!
The wind increased when Asdrubal Prieto made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xaime Diez in the 54th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute Asdrubal Prieto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 played minutes Atlético de Sagunto got a freekick which was hit by Urtzi Sánchez. Frank Sachs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Loren Prats read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute Xaime Diez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xaime Diez in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 minutes of play, Atlético de Sagunto's Asdrubal Prieto made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Atlético de Sagunto made a substitution. Xuan Casillas replaced Apolinar Figueroa. With a little luck, Atlético de Sagunto's Loren Prats got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Atlético de Sagunto's Asdrubal Prieto in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. Xaime Diez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Xaime Diez came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Asdrubal Prieto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Germany's Malte Schiele got a free kick in the 86th minute. Asdrubal Prieto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 90th minute Xaime Diez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Xaime Diez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaime Diez in the 98th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Atlético de Sagunto players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
