Willy Van Linthout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paul Fiedler. In the 39th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. Willy Van Linthout showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute.

Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Frank Sachs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 74th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Willy Van Linthout. Bruly's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Brend Schrevens came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jullian Vranx in the 78th minute of the match. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brend Schrevens in the 80th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Van Landschoot in the 89th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes in the game Robben Musseeuw did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Paul Fiedler. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Willy Van Linthout made a huge save. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
