The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Lund got free with August Hjortberg in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ralf Åhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredric Björk in the 10th minute of the match. August Hjortberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Bergsten's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute Åke Tidén shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ralf Åhlberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fred Lund might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hjortberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Lund ran back to his position shaking his head. Östen Ekblom charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Östen Ekblom the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Åke Tidén fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralf Åhlberg having to interfere. The supporters of Uttran booed when Emmaboda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvin Andberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Fred Lund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emmaboda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uttran the free kick. Harry Bergsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Emmaboda's Fred Lund got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Tobias Bergstedt's late challenge caught a Uttran's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Bergstedt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Emmaboda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Bergstedt to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Sten Stigsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uttran's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Stigsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Åhlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Harry Bergsten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Emmaboda fans cheered their team off the field, for while Uttran had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
