The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Simon Björklund recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harry Bergsten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joakim Bjurström having to interfere. Einar Lindsten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Emmaboda's goal looked a bit too open when Einar Lindsten came free, but Ralf Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joakim Bjurström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harry Bergsten's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simon Björklund in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joakim Bjurström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harry Bergsten in the 39th minute of play forced Vattnäs SK's goalkeeper Joakim Bjurström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Bjurström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Björklund went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ralf Åhlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Einar Lindsten in the 44th minute of the match. Harry Bergsten scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joakim Bjurström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Einar Lindsten to strike the kick off in the second half. Ralf Åhlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörgen Gunnarsson in the 55th minute of play. The Emmaboda fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Åhlberg should have stopped the shot. In the 75thth minute of the game Harry Bergsten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vattnäs SK's Joakim Bjurström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Emmaboda's goal looked a bit too open when Jörgen Gunnarsson came free, but Ralf Åhlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emmaboda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Einar Lindsten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Fred Lund was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Emmaboda's Fred Lund got a free kick in the 95th minute. When Einar Lindsten came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Vattnäs SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Einar Lindsten couldn't finish the play. Vattnäs SK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Emmaboda for a fine match.
