The audience thought a goal was coming when Günter Hambloch got free with Clodoveo Teofilio in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 23 minutes into the game, Kurt Rose was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kölner Sportverein's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL REGRESO DEL DECADENTE the free kick. Kurt Rose kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Marco Kau scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clodoveo Teofilio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Roberto Teofilio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Bauriegel was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Günter Hambloch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kölner Sportverein's supporters rose to their feet, but Günter Hambloch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marco Kau was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Roberto Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL REGRESO DEL DECADENTE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Teofilio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carl Bauriegel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roberto Teofilio in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match EL REGRESO DEL DECADENTE got a corner. Kölner Sportverein's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roberto Teofilio ran over to the corner to take the kick. Marco Kau fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Teofilio having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Clodoveo Florinio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carl Bauriegel. Kölner Sportverein's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Clodoveo Florinio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.
