A nice corner shot did that 庞思傲 got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gustavo Loreto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cityzens Mdz's Gustavo Loreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Ruy in the 40th minute of play. The supporters of ATLETICO MENDOZA booed when Cityzens Mdz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henning Sander didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustavo Loreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Chale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Václav Filipi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sixto Larra in the 80th minute of the match. After 93 minutes of play, Cityzens Mdz's Sixto Larra made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Václav Filipi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cityzens Mdz made a substitution. Angel Orlandus replaced Hillar Tuus. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cityzens Mdz fans cheered their team off the field, for while ATLETICO MENDOZA had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
