Leopoldo Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 庞思傲's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Leopoldo Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Justo Muno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Javier Richie fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leones FC's protests and gave Javier Richie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Javier Richie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Lastur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Chale in the 20th minute of play. Václav Filipi came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Leones FC's Arnaldo Leguizamón. But to his dismay, Arnaldo Leguizamón quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Justo Muno got free with Leopoldo Lastur in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 35 minutes, Mariano Peyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leones FC and the ATLETICO MENDOZA players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Leones FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Peyo to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Lastur was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from 庞思傲. Leopoldo Lastur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lucas Haimar's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. The ATLETICO MENDOZA fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when ATLETICO MENDOZA's Lucas Haimar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 56th minute Justo Muno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leopoldo Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 57th minute of the match ATLETICO MENDOZA got a corner. Leones FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 庞思傲 ran over to the corner to take the kick.
