Ni Guang Yong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ni Guang Yong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sílvio Luís Ceresso who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Casper Claes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio Luís Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Belgium's Yves Dervaux got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sílvio Luís Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Belgium walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
