The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dalimil Charvat kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 3rd minute Anton Terzian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Olimpiu Remus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, RapidBarcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Jilek came free, but Narcis Lucan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Potra kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. RapidBarcelona's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sergiu Stănoiu in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Dostal in the 13th minute of play forced RapidBarcelona's goalkeeper Narcis Lucan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alan Rezek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Lucan having to interfere. RapidBarcelona's Narcis Lucan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan Rezek in the 17th minute of play. When Anton Terzian came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the RapidBarcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anton Terzian couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the game, Denis Dostal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Czech Republic's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave RapidBarcelona the free kick. Denis Dostal hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Dalimil Charvat kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Eric Dascălu hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After 33 played minutes RapidBarcelona got a freekick which was hit by Damian Potra. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when RapidBarcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olimpiu Remus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 43 minutes into the match, RapidBarcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Jilek came free, but Narcis Lucan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Bohumir Kohout hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when David Rusil got free with Narcis Lucan in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Erik Jilek got a free kick in the 64th minute. RapidBarcelona's Anton Terzian has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 70th minute. Damian Potra might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vavrinec Holub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damian Potra ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Erik Jilek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Czech Republic's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Jilek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narcis Lucan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Terzian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 85th minute, Sergiu Stănoiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Anton Terzian came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see RapidBarcelona lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
