The supporters of Germany booed when INTER FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thiago de Barros's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thiago de Barros helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, INTER FC's Thiago de Barros got a free kick in the 29th minute. Albin Holweck struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Edinho Lira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. In the 34th minute, Gugu Campidelis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a long run with the ball, Frank Sachs did a trick in the 36th minute in front of INTER FC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. Kléber do Valle's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kléber do Valle helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Kléber do Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. INTER FC's Edinho Lira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save INTER FC from getting a goal against them. In the 65th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. If Frits Berendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frits Berendt in the 68th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goalkeeper Edinho Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Gugu Campidelis kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. INTER FC's Germano Luz was substituted for Emerson Cruz. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Germano Luz in the 91st minute of the match. The INTER FC fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when INTER FC's Luís Ferreira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cássio Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. INTER FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Germany for much of the match.
