Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ubaldo Gonzales in the 10th minute of play. In the 18th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Cavallino Rampante II's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Italy's Sigfrido Auletta to fire away a dangerous shot which Ernesto Fe despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Zaccheo Andolina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Ernesto Fe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Hu Shu Ming sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Joaquin Matai got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ivo Oja. Joaquin Matai made in the 29th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. In the 30th match minute, Cavallino Rampante II was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hu Shu Ming to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute Ubaldo Gonzales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Zaccheo Andolina made a precise shot to the right of Ernesto Fe. Cavallino Rampante II's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 45th match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siricio Liotta to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zaccheo Andolina to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Cavallino Rampante II's goal looked a bit too open when Zaccheo Andolina came free, but Ernesto Fe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernesto Fe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Zena Busacca kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Ivo Oja got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Fe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cavallino Rampante II made a substitution. Yan Hui Feng replaced Candido Garin. The supporters of Cavallino Rampante II booed when Italy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siricio Liotta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cavallino Rampante II's goalie and right to Sansone Vanella. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cavallino Rampante II's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hu Shu Ming, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute, Cirilo Eron hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Fe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Siricio Liotta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Italy failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
