Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) South Africa's Themba Takane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurice Odonnell in the 3rd minute of play. Themba Takane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin Gay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Okoyomon Charles Pinazas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilberto Boone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fuzile Mnisi in the 11th minute of play. Themba Takane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Seth Luke in the 14th minute of play. When South Africa's Okoyomon Charles Pinazas in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Varennes's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Fuzile Mnisi managed to get in a good position for a shot. South Africa's supporters rose to their feet, but Fuzile Mnisi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Boone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot 23 in the game by Okoyomon Charles Pinazas from a close distance when the talented Gilberto Boone managed to make a qualified save. Varennes's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okoyomon Charles Pinazas in the 24th minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varennes's Maurice Odonnell pulled a muscle in his back after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 27 minutes, Jikolo Mabalane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the South Africa and the Varennes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Varennes's Titus Pineda was substituted for Maurice Odonnell. The supporters of Varennes booed when South Africa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jikolo Mabalane didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute Théophile Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Themba Takane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Okoyomon Charles Pinazas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Gilberto Boone made a huge save. 36 minutes into the game, South Africa's Okoyomon Charles Pinazas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gilberto Boone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Lebang Nhlapo charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lebang Nhlapo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Varennes's Lester Ashby was substituted for Wendell Petit. Lebang Nhlapo hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, South Africa's goal looked a bit too open when Titus Pineda came free, but Themba Takane reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Varennes's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Théophile Berger in the 43rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Bernardo Goudreau managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Okoyomon Charles Pinazas to strike the kick off in the second half. Themba Takane took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Titus Pineda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okoyomon Charles Pinazas in the 51st minute of play forced Varennes's goalkeeper Gilberto Boone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilberto Boone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okoyomon Charles Pinazas, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 54th minute South Africa were awarded a corner. Hassan Collins went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on South Africa's corner Hassan Collins fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gilberto Boone quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Titus Pineda in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Themba Takane prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Titus Pineda in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Themba Takane, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. South Africa's Fuzile Mnisi got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leon Kennedy was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 61 minutes into the match. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for South Africa! Bernardo Goudreau shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Okoyomon Charles Pinazas managed to get in a good position for a shot. The audience was convinced that Okoyomon Charles Pinazas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Boone was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Varennes's goal looked a bit too open when Okoyomon Charles Pinazas came free, but Gilberto Boone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Okoyomon Charles Pinazas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gilberto Boone was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Okoyomon Charles Pinazas sped through Varennes's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gilberto Boone. After having played for 89 minutes, Johannes Bartlett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Africa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johannes Bartlett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Themba Takane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Gay in the 97th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. South Africa were victorious despite being under pressure from Varennes for much of the match.
