Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dieguinho Paraíba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the game, Ren Jie Fan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Ren Jie Fan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. GeRaÇãO-83's Dieguinho Paraíba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute, David Eikelkamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dieguinho Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dieguinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 15 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Lars Meesters. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rômulo Veiga in the 25th minute. Dieguinho Paraíba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 27th minute of the match. After 34 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dieguinho Paraíba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 41 minutes, David Eikelkamp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the GeRaÇãO-83 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by David Eikelkamp. 42 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's Billy Backman broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 46 minutes into the game, GeRaÇãO-83's Ren Jie Fan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

GeRaÇãO-83's Didi Couto got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Dieguinho Paraíba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of GeRaÇãO-83 booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gijsbert ter Kruimer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GeRaÇãO-83 made a substitution. Carl Ancelotti replaced Didi Couto. Dieguinho Paraíba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. In the 68th match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Backman to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goalkeeper Dieguinho Paraíba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. 72 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Dieguinho Paraíba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ren Jie Fan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ren Jie Fan's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Lars Meesters managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Meesters was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dieguinho Paraíba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Netherlands's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because GeRaÇãO-83 had won, even though Netherlands had held more of the ball.
