Hias Nüssli yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ludwig Brandin, made in the 39th minute of the game. In the 40th minute, Gustav Iseli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot by Manfred Valström from long distance, 41 minutes into the match, got Hias Nüssli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 41 minutes into the game Manfred Valström kicked a great long shot which passed Hias Nüssli straight ahead into the goal, Result 2-0. One couldn't see Manfred Valström behind all of his teammates who surrounded to congratulate him. A collision led to IFK Göteborg getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Axel Pååk hit a great ball. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 64th minute, but Håkan Deckbergh got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving IFK Göteborg hanging dry this time. Fridolin Neumeister kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Matthias Ahlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacinto Maurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ludwig Brandin made in the 79th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Switzerland's Timo Siegmund. Jacinto Maurer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Håkan Deckbergh came out and tried to block the shot, but Jacinto Maurer slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 81st minute. Jacinto Maurer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Håkan Deckbergh made a huge save.
