In the 6th minute Hu Hong Le shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 18th minute of play forced FC Pražští Pepíci's goalkeeper Jonáš Rosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pražští Pepíci's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Pražští Pepíci's Jonáš Rosa did a great save. In the 24th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonáš Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jonáš Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Pražští Pepíci booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonáš Rosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonáš Rosa having to make a save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Jonáš Rosa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

FC Pražští Pepíci made a substitution. Pavel Borecký replaced Aleš Hrdlička. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Jonáš Rosa in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jonáš Rosa made a huge save. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hu Hong Le in the 61st minute of play. FC Pražští Pepíci's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored to the left of an out of position Jonáš Rosa, making the score, 0-1. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonáš Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 72nd minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonáš Rosa could save by the left post. Jonáš Rosa made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a good shot on target. Jonáš Rosa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 80th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Kees Mooiweer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute, Hu Hong Le got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, FC Pražští Pepíci's goalkeeper Jonáš Rosa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer. Hu Hong Le sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
