Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Joar Frisck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Eikelkamp went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Joar Frisck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rhys Hughes kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joar Frisck saved FC NORDLAND from getting behind. Joar Frisck stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Wilmes's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. When Rhys Hughes came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the FC NORDLAND fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rhys Hughes couldn't finish the play. Hjalmar Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hjalmar Pettersson in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. The corner ended in Andreas Hernaiz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers did a great save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 26th minute of play forced FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC NORDLAND were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after Netherlands's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Andreas Hernaiz took the corner. After taking down the ball on FC NORDLAND's corner Andreas Hernaiz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnout Reekers quite easily take care of the ball. In the 32nd minute, Bas Tuitert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the FC NORDLAND defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joar Frisck. The FC NORDLAND fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joar Frisck should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute Andreas Hernaiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute of the match FC NORDLAND got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andreas Hernaiz ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andreas Hernaiz made a kick off. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in FC NORDLAND's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joar Frisck came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute Rhys Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 71st minute of play forced FC NORDLAND's goalkeeper Joar Frisck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC NORDLAND's Angelillo Di Maria was substituted for Hjalmar Pettersson. FC NORDLAND's Ervin Frk was substituted for Benno Betancor. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 73rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Bas Tuitert managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelillo Di Maria in the 76th minute of the match. Angelillo Di Maria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joar Frisck was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Hernaiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Hernaiz in the 86th minute of play. Joar Frisck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 90th minute of play. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
