That made the score 1-1 after 16 minutes of play. 20 minutes into the match, Spain's goal looked a bit too open when Dariusz Wos came free, but Gabriel Ascaso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Aranda hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of A.C. Patagonia booed when Spain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Criado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nils Støle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adria Bielsa in the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adria Bielsa in the 31st minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Nils Støle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Spain! 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Spain's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Nóbrega was slow to take the kick. During this time A.C. Patagonia's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to A.C. Patagonia's Dariusz Wos getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. But to his dismay, Adria Bielsa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Spain made a substitution. Carles Cherro replaced Omar Toledo. The audience was convinced that Sylwester Sroka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ascaso was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Patagonia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jon Cubero was slow to take the kick. During this time Spain's players had a chance to rest. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Spain players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
