The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice moves Horea Boian could shoot a difficult shot in the 3rd minute, which Carol Stinga however easily saved by the left post. With his leg Carol Stinga managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when A.C. Patagonia's Horea Boian fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rui Costa got a throw-in 8 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Szymon Jaszyna. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Romania's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Rafael Nóbrega was slow to take the kick. During this time A.C. Patagonia's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Eduardo Atarrabi managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Nils Støle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Olaru, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute Adam Olaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Støle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-1 became the score in the 19th minute when Adam Olaru elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Olaru in the 26th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Nils Støle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romania's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adam Olaru in the 27th minute. After some careless play in the A.C. Patagonia defense, Adam Olaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils Støle. The A.C. Patagonia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils Støle should have stopped the shot. Vasile Ciumak made in the 43rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Alex Serban immediately put the ball in play. After 45 minutes A.C. Patagonia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Adam Olaru who took care of the corner kick. Nils Støle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rasvan Cristescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Olaru was the one to do the kick off. Romania's Anton Stinga was substituted for Adam Olaru. After 62 minutes of play, A.C. Patagonia's Dariusz Wos made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carol Stinga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Romania's Octavian Vaduva was substituted for Costica Vladimiri. Through an outstanding action, after 68 minutes, Nils Støle successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 69 minutes into the game, Romania's Anton Stinga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nils Støle made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. Nils Støle made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Rasvan Cristescu sent off a good shot on target. 76 minutes into the match, Romania's goal looked a bit too open when Sylwester Sroka came free, but Carol Stinga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C. Patagonia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rafael Nóbrega in the 78th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Romania's goalie and right to Ludwig Wassenius. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Romania's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Nils Støle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anton Stinga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Rasvan Cristescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Støle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carol Stinga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Wassenius in the 84th minute of play. Alexandru Pangratiu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nils Støle came out and tried to block the shot, but Alexandru Pangratiu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 86th minute. In the 90th minute, Octavian Vaduva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Romania fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. In the 93rd minute, Romania's Octavian Vaduva dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. Romania's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
